ABOUT THE INSTALLATION
350 piezo (contact) microphones are placed underneath the floor, producing strange sounds as people stomp on them. Simultaneously a Kinect and projector face downward from the ceiling, tracking participants and projecting interactive graphics around their feet. Starstomp is an immersive interactive audiovisual environment that takes you into the stars. The audience is invited into a space where their every movement generates light and sound, creating a dreamscape of our cosmos.
